Blog EntryAnother (short) weekendSep 14, '06 11:47 PM
for everyone
So yesterday I had my last day at work for the week. It's like five days just went by and I didn't even notice it. Time seems to just pass, as if everything is just a fleeting moment. I guess everyone's like that anyway, but I can't quite get myself to reconcile with the fact. Maybe it's because if five days was that fast, how much more would my two days off of work be? Yeah, that could be it!

Because of some changes with the team's schedules this week, some of my teammates who login at the same time as I do (that's 7 AM) now had to do so a bit earlier and, hence, would also log-off before me. That also means that we won't be going out together on our usual "post-shift gimmicks". Kinda sad actually.

That explains why yesterday it was only me, Amy, Carmie, and Rhoemy who went out and had dinner after work. And since Joy has just been recently promoted as QA, she now has a new work schedule and would definitely not be able to go, too. Hmmm... Now that I think about it, what happened to Bong? He's usually with us as well but he wasn't around last night. Oh well. It kind of reminds me of the time when Zel got promoted to QA as well. It may sound so harsh but sometimes I just can't be completely happy over something. Like a pill but with a disgusting taste. You know what I mean? I'm definitely happy for Joy and Zel that they got the posts because they're truly deserving and they worked hard for it, but I'm just sad that I won't get to spend as much time with them as I used to when they're still part of the team. At least Zel still hangs out with us and Joy promised that she'd still go out on a coffee date with me one of this days. I'm just wondering when exactly that would be though since she's done with her shift by 6 AM while I'm going to start mine at 7 AM. LOL!

Anyway, the four of us went to SM Mall of Asia (it can't be helped, it's the nearest from the office!) after work to have dinner and to kill some time because Amy can't drive her car until 7 PM because of the number coding scheme. Amy treated all of us at Max's Restaurant. Rich kid talaga!!! Thanks a lot for the hearty meal, by the way. :-)

As I promised in my previous blog entry, I also bought myself a copy of 3 Doors Down's "Away From The Sun" and "Seventeen Days" albums. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a copy of "The Better Life" and "Another 700 Miles" anywhere. I originally intended to buy the CDs from either Music One or Tower Records because they usually have a larger selection but Greenbelt/Glorietta is a bit out of the way. I'll try my luck some other time. I'm still enjoying my new CDs anyway and I might even write a review when I get myself some free time. That and if I don't procrastinate again. My review of Utada Hikaru's "Ultra Blue" CD is still a draft after several months - so no promises!

I guess that's all for now. And I'd like to thank you for reading this if you did bother to take the time. LOL!!

Now Playing: "Let Me Go" - 3 Doors Down

Blog EntryA few homepage updatesSep 9, '06 8:08 AM
for everyone
It's been quite a while since I last posted something here in my blog. Heck, I don't even know if this can be called a blog since it hardly gets updated! I don't know why, but I tend to really procrastinate especially when it comes to writing things. Oh well. Anyway, I had some time to kill just now so I decided to make a few changes on my page. Yay!!!

I guess the most noticeable is that there's now music playing once you get into my homepage. I was thinking of playing several songs by Utada Hikaru since she's one of my absolute faves but I thought that most of the people who visit my site doesn't really know much Japanese and might just turn the music off instead. So I decided to play a few songs of 3 Doors Down, a band that I discovered just recently. I'm really liking the songs I've heard so far and I'm definitely going to buy one of their CDs next time I get to the mall. Among the songs I included in the playlist are Kryptonite and Here Without You. I think this is a pretty neat addition. I'll try to change the music regularly, maybe once a month.

Also, I've been able to upload several team photos courtesy of Bong. I just thought that it'll be nice if we could upload almost everything about the team especially our team gigs - we sure know how to party! Check them out on the photos section.

Maybe I had too much free time on my hands recently that I even came up with a Multiply group for my team at work, Chronics01. You can get there by pointing your browsers to http://crnx01.multiply.com. It's still pretty bare but I'll definitely update it whenever I have the time to do so. I've already sent invites to those people who are already on my contacts list. If you didn't get my invite, just let me know and I'll send you one ASAP. Hope to see you guys on the group soon.

I guess that's all for now. It's been a long day but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I had a lot of fun playing around with Multiply. Wow, I'm really enjoying this thing!

Anyway, if there's anything you wanted to say or if you have some comments, feel free to do so. Just type your thoughts at the bottom of this journal entry. I'll certainly appreciate your comments. 'Til the next update and thanks for reading.

Blog EntryWelcoming myself to MultiplyJun 17, '06 4:08 PM
for everyone
The procrastinator in me struck again. I've had this account for over a year now and I only got around to updating my info here (and uploading some stuff as well) just a few days ago. Not that I really didn't want to upload anything, but sometimes things like this seem kinda daunting - like there's a lot to do but so little time to do them. Add to that the fact that I hardly get any time for myself. But I digress. I think I'm making excuses now. Hehehe!

Anyway, after our team building activity least week my teammates and I had to share the pics we've taken. And what better way to do that but to upload the pics online (especially if you have a blazing fast internet connection at work!) and just share the links. Friendster is definitely the most popular but it won't work because it's being blocked by the corporate firewall. For some reason Multiply was able to get past the sniffing noses of the geeks at the IT department. Just our luck, huh?

So here you have it. My site finally updated and some stuff uploaded as well. That said, enjoy Utada's performance of "This Is Love" at Music Station. It's kinda shaky I know but at least she's no Ashley Simpson! *cringes at the thought* And you just gotta love that song, so damn catchy!
